Its Our 30th Birthday!

Mirfield company Micrographics celebrated its 30th anniversary with an open day for guests. The document management company has been in business since March 1976 and has established itself as a major force in the provision of document management bureau services.


Guests attending the open day were given talks on the new technologies in document management that have been developed over the years, such as scanning large amounts of information onto computer disks, followed by a tour of the premises and a buffet lunch.

The Leeds Road firm began by specialising in the use of microfilma to archive information as an alternative to paper archives. However, the end of the 1970's saw the need for faster retrieval of data, so Micrographics set up its own scanning bureau to scan data to CD-ROM. This format has proved popular with existing and new clients alike.

The open day gave the company the chance to inform other businesses on how they can benefit from the new technologies that have emerged in document management and use ideas which have helped Micrographics become successful.
